THE FORMULA FOR CALCULATING ALCOHOL  CONTENT
1. DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF *DRINKS YOU HAD =
2. DETERMINE YOUR BODY WEIGHT AT THE TIME OF DRINKING =
3. FIND THE INTERSECTION OF YOUR NUMBER OF DRINKS WITH YOUR BODY WEIGHT USING THE CHART BELOW                              =
4. RECORD THE NUMBER OF HOURS OVER WHICH YOU DRANK   =
5. MULTIPLY THE NUMBER OF HOURS OVER WHICH YOU DRANK TIMES .015% (THIS REPRESENTS THE BURNOFF RATE OF ALCOHOL)                                                                                                       =
6. SUBTRACT THE BURN OFF ALCOHOL FROM THE CHART LEVEL OF ALCOHOL. (-)
7. YOUR APPROXIMATE BREATH OR BLOOD ALCOHOL.                  =

(*1 drink = one 12 oz. Beer, one ounce of 100 proof liquor, or one 5 oz. glass of wine.)

1. DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF *DRINKS YOU HAD = 3 BEERS
2. DETERMINE YOUR BODY WEIGHT AT THE TIME OF DRINKING = 150 LBS
3. FIND THE INTERSECTION OF YOUR NUMBER OF DRINKS WITH YOUR BODY WEIGHT USING THE CHART BELOW                            = .075
4. RECORD THE NUMBER OF HOURS OVER WHICH YOU DRANK   = 2
5. MULTIPLY THE NUMBER OF HOURS OVER WHICH YOU DRANK TIMES .015% (THIS REPRESENTS THE BURNOFF RATE OF ALCOHOL)                                                                                                        = .030
6. SUBTRACT THE BURN OFF ALCOHOL (#5) FROM THE CHART LEVEL OF ALCOHOL. (#3 ) TO ARRIVE AT YOUR APPROXIMATE BREATH OR BLOOD ALCOHOL LEVEL (-) -.030
7. THE CALCULATION TOTAL IS WELL WITHIN THE LEGAL LIMITS = .045
